Technology Class

         Welcome to Mrs. Sutton’s web page. I teach middle students computer technology skills. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University and earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. I have 24 years of experice with working in the public school setting with students on all levels.     I have over 20 years of experience in the field of Computer Technology. 

    In middle school 6th grade students receive a semester course practicing keyboarding technique and accuracy while students learn word processing and presentation software.Seventh and Eighth graders have a semester course with class activities focusing on real-world applications helping students gain technology applications helping students gain technology skills necessary for academic work at Children’s Village Academy and their chosen college. 

    Computer Applications for Upper School students is designed to teach the basics of Microsoft Office 2007 and Google Drive. Students learn basic Office skills and integrate software in real world learning projects. Software skills studies include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Emphasis on computer ethics and digital citizenship in today's technical world is stressed.
